Hervé Léger Bandage Dresses

Hervé Léger is famous for the bandage dresses. The dresses are made of bands of stretch fabrics, wool, or silk woven with Lycra or Elastene, that would mold around the wearer's body with its signature bandage-like strips.

Herve Leger was founded in 1985 by the designer currently known as Hervé L. Leroux. Leroux adopted his current name after he lost the rights to the Hervé Léger name. Leroux pioneered the creation of the "bandage" or "body-con (body-conscious)" dress, using materials traditionally associated with foundation garments to create dresses that would mold and shape around the wearer's body with its signature bandage-like strips.

His iconic eponymous label was relaunched in 2007 under the creative direction of Max Azria. The house of Leger remains firmly in the fashion spotlight, re-launching that signature sexiness with a fresh faced approach. Apart from dresses, he also designs dresses constructed of knitted cotton and viscose bands, easy, brightly coloured T-shirts, suits made of both matte and shiny fabrics and minimal light-looking striped tops. www.stylert.com
